Constructive solid geometry (CSG) - A complex shape can be made up of a number of primitive shapes such as cubes, spheres, cones, cylinders, etc.

3D solid terrain models have long been the preferred tool for visualizing terrain.  The scaled terrain representations constructed out of solid materials are familiar and well understood.

Models allows users to view a landscape from multiple perspectives, and to directly interact with landscape during course-of-action development, mission planning and rehearsal, site selection, terrain visualization and analysis, hydrological analysis, environmental analysis and civil engineering.

ARIES's current tools and methodologies can produce 3D solid models quickly, accurately and at low cost.

Surface Modeling

Solid Modeling provides an exceptional interface for 3D surface modeling. Surface modeling is part of FeatureMILL3D and is included with the Solid Modeling Option for other Feature CAM products. Surfaces can be created from curves, from surface primitives, from a single surface or from multiple surfaces.
